PURCHASES WAIT TIME

Please understand that the garment that you are ordering is not a “ready made” garment. This garment will be sewn after the order has been placed and there will be a waiting period. This waiting period may take anywhere from one week to four months depending on previous orders and availability of fabric.

When a garment or item is purchased that is available or a stocked item, it will be shipped at the earliest practable time. However if there is a wait time for an order that is purchased along with items that are on hand, all items will be shipped at the same time.

ORDER OF CONSTRUCTION

Garments will be constructed in the order in which they are received. When a garment is to be sewn and the fabric is not available, “on hand”, it will be skipped till the fabric is available. When the fabric is on hand the skipped garment will be the next garment to be sewn.

RUSH ORDERS

If there is need for the construction of a garment to be rushed, please make a note by contacting by E-mail or by phone. Rush orders will be considered on an individual basis. An extra fee may be added to the order.

TIME DEAD LINES

If your garment is needed before a certain date, please contact via phone or E-mail and it will be noted. We will make every effort that we can to construct your garment in time, depending on availability of fabric. However we will not be able to guarantee that the garment will be sewn in time if there is a high volume of orders pending.

FABRIC SELECTION

We will do our best to maintain a selection of fabrics on hand. Vegetable dyed fabric has a limited shelf life before it starts to fade, thus we do not stock large qualities of this fabric. This fabric will be ordered as needed. Vegetable dyed fabric is guaranteed to fade and turn ugly.

BUTTON SELECTION

We will do our best efforts to give you the selected buttons for your garment. If no button is selected for your garment, we will use the “Depot Choice Method” of picking buttons. In other words we will make a guess. The Federal Eagle button is the button that is heavily documented to be on many Confederate garments.

CSA BUTTONS

The “CSA” button is heavily over-used by the Reenacting, Living History Skirmishing communities. Since we strive for authenticy and a non-modern day sewing factory look, we do not use this button. We maintain many of the Confederate state buttons along with the branch buttons.

RETURNED GARMENTS

If a garment does not fit properly, please contact us immediately. DO NOT WEAR THE GARMENT. Garments that are worn or faded will not be returned back into our inventory. If we suspect that the garment was worn we will ship it back to you and charge you for the shipping. We have had several customers order garments and wear them for their one-special-day event and return them after it was over. We are not a costume rental shop. Garments that are returned may be charged a 30% restocking fee.

CUSTOM GARMENT RETURNS

Garments that are oversized, undersized or custom made that have a low chance of selling off the rack will not be accepted back for return. Please be sure of measurements when placing order.

TROUSER HEMS

It is our policy to never leave the hems on our trousers raw. There is no extra charge for the hem. The default length for the hem of the trousers is approximately 32 inches. We can make it longer or shorter upon request. If your inseam measurement is longer then 32 inches, we must know before starting on your garment. Trousers with inseams that are shorter then 30 inches will NOT be returned.

E-MAIL

We use e-mail as our primary form of communication for short answer inquiries. If e-mail is difficult or a long answer is needed, then a phone call is better. It seems that one-minute of talking beats an hour of typing. We may store your e-mail address for future advertising. We will not share or sell this list with any third party.
