This isn't a safety tip but it's
still useful information. If you carry your dry rations like rice, corn
meal coffee or beans in a cloth ration bags it would be smart to have
bags of differant colors or sizes. This way you will be able to quickly
tell what is in each bag.
I figured this one when I was
trying to make some coffee while not pay attention. When I went to pour
the coffee grounds in to my boiling water I dumped corn meal instead. I
should have looked before I dumped. Had I had color coded my bags I
would have known what I picked up.
